Meet Dr. David Niles
Dr. Niles received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon in 1990 and graduated with honors from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1994. He gained valuable experience working in general dentistry, periodontics, and education before entering his Post-Doctoral Orthodontic Residency at Loma Linda University where he graduated #1 in his class.
During his training he had the distinction of being elected to the National Dean’s List and the “Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities.” Dr. Niles also received the prestigious Roland D. Walters Research Award for outstanding contribution to orthodontic and organ transplant research at Loma Linda University. He was awarded a Masters of Science degree for his work on craniofacial growth in infant heart transplant recipients, which was published in the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation, one of the medical profession’s most respected journals.
Dr. Niles has developed special skills in several areas of orthodontics and TMJ therapy. He is a recognized leader in the treatment of TMJ or jaw dysfunction and has lectured widely on the topics of early orthodontics, adult orthodontics and surgery, and TMJ. As lifetime learning is a passion for Dr. Niles, he has been a founding member or held advisory board positions on several professional study groups.
Dr. Niles and his wife, Jill, have two wonderful daughters, Jessica and Kendall. The family enjoys traveling, hiking, music and the arts, reading, cooking, baking, and the many community and outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
